I am really surprised to see that Ryan Giggs has been left out of the squad for the Europa League round-of-32 first-leg match against Ajax in Amsterdam on Thursday.
Since United have no game at the weekend after being knocked out of the FA Cup by Liverpool last month, I fully expected Giggs to be in the line-up and thereby make his 900th appearance for United.
Other notables not making the short trip to Amsterdam are Dimitar Berbatov and Patrice Evra but Phil Jones and Nani, who have both recovered from recent injuries, were on the plane.
United are taking a strong 20-man squad to Amsterdam for the Europa League tie against Ajax with Nani, Chris Smalling and Phil Jones all back from injury.
It is a strong squad that SAF has picked with Ezekiel Fryers and Paul Pogba are the only reserve-team regulars in the squad
