Bob Cass in the Daily Mail is reporting that Lucas will be at Old Trafford on Sunday for a medical to complete his transfer from San Paulo.
Lucas was in Newcastle on Saturday for Brazil’s Olympic Games quarter-final against Honduras at St James’ Park, where he started on the bench and he is reported to have travelled down to Manchester after the game.

Cass, who is close to SAF, reports that Fergie did not leave with the United team today for their European trip in order to complete the deal estimated to be around £30million.
If the story is true, it will be a big sign of intention by SAF and United this summer. Many of us never thought we would see United spend £30million on a player again.
Interestingly, Cass also reports that SAF still believes that he can get Robin van Persie from Arsenal for around £20million.
If United can land Lucas and RVP for a combined £50million that will be a very good piece of business done by SAF and Gill.
