Directions to Old Trafford by CAR
From the South:
Leave the M6 motorway at Junction 19 taking the A556 towards Altrincham. This leads onto the A56 to Manchester. Follow the A56 for about six miles and look for Sir Matt Busby Way on your left. The ground lies about 400 metres down Sir Matt Busby way although on matchdays this road is closed to all cars without parking permits.
(See tips on where to park below).

From the North:
Leave the M6 at Junction 30. Then take the M61 towards Bolton. As you reach the end of the M61, join the M63. Leave the M63 at Junction 4 and take the A5081 to Manchester. Follow the A5081 for two miles and look out for Sir Matt Busby Way on your right hand side. The ground lies about 400 metres down Sir Matt Busby way although on matchdays this road is closed to all cars without parking permits. (See tips on where to park below).

From The West:
Follow the M56 to its end, taking the M60 (W&N). Leave M60 at junction 7, taking the A56 towards Stretford. After 2 miles you will see Sir Matt Busby Way on your left. The ground lies about 400 metres down Sir Matt Busby way although on matchdays this road is closed to all cars without parking permits. (See tips on where to park below).

Parking:
There are plenty of small private car parks near to Old Trafford, but they tend to fill up pretty early. Old Trafford Cricket Ground (cost £5) does a roaring trade on match days but again, you need to arrive at least an hour, and preferably 2 hours before the match to make sure of getting a space. If you arrive later than that try parking at the Salford Quays Lowry Mall, a ten minute walk away from the stadium, which costs £3. There’s much less traffic on leaving, and the road takes you straight onto the M601 which joins up with the M62/M6. This can be helpful as it avoids the worst of the traffic taking the direct but slower route South.

By TRAIN to Old Trafford, Manchester
Probably the best way to get to Old Trafford is by train from Manchester Piccadilly mainline station, as the stadium has its own railway station next to the ground, located immediately outside the away end.
